About Us
Our Story
On the 16th October, 2018 we lost a beautiful soul. A son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a boyfriend and a mate. Kade Macdonald was 18 years old when he took his own life, despite being so well loved and seemingly with the world at his feet. Very soon following Kade’s tragic death, his family made a promise to start a foundation with the mission to save at least one life, and in turn, other families from suffering the horrific grief that comes with losing someone you love to suicide.
The Kade Macdonald Foundation was established to provide support for youth suffering from mental health challenges and opportunities to improve their general wellbeing. The focus has started in the Mid North of South Australia, being Kade’s home region, and lacking in support networks. The aim of the foundation is to get our struggling young people into the hands of those who can help them. Please go to our get help page to find a list of options for help.
KMF couldn’t do the work we do for the Mid North without the ongoing support from all of its valued supporters, who continue to kindly donate.
If you are able to help in the form of a donation, please go to Donations Thank you, we are truly grateful for every donation, big or small. xx
